Gordon Ramsay Special Steak Sandwich Recipe

Ramsay’s steak sandwich is, in fact, a flavorful punch for brunch. When it combines mustard mayonnaise along with a delicious tomato relish, there is nothing to beat it. So, you are getting everything to lighten your day… Let’s go for it.

Ingredients

  • Beef Fillet (1.5 pounds) 
  • Garlic (1 Whole Head; horizontally cut in half)
  • Thyme Sprigs (4 pieces)
  • Lettuce Leaves (as much as you prefer)
  • Butter (as much as you prefer)

For Spicy Tomato Relish

  • Finely chopped Red Onion (1/2 of the onion)
  • Finely chopped and mixed Red and Yellow Cherry Tomatoes (8.8 ounces)
  • Finely deseeded and chopped Red Chilies (2 red chilies)
  • Shredded Basil Leaves (as much as you prefer)
  • Sherry Vinegar (2 teaspoons)
  • To fry, olive oil
  • To taste, sea salt
  • To taste, freshly ground pepper 

For Mustard Mayonnaise

  • Good quality Mayonnaise (3 tablespoons)
  • Whole-grain Mustard (3 teaspoons) 

For Toasted Ciabatta

  • Finely sliced Ciabatta (12 pieces; 1.5 cm thick)
  • Olive Oil (3 tablespoons)

Instructions

Spice up the steak

  • Sprinkle a little salt over a beef fillet. Then, for the steak, to add bitter heat to it, add the pepper. You have to make sure that you have added some bigger chunks of pepper; it’s absolutely important.
  • Now, roll the steak all over the surface so that the steak is mixed with all the spices.
  • Take the oven-proof pan, add oil and butter, and heat them to the boiling point. When boiling, put the steak in this pan.
  • Horizontally slice the garlic head in half, and add it, along with the leaves and thyme, to the pan and keep cooking.
  • Braise the steak by tilting the fan forward with the juice in the pan.
  • At last, bake the steak for about 9-10 minutes by placing the steak in the oven.

Prepare the tomato relish

  • Add the saucepan over a heating element, over medium heat. Then, add the chilies, olive oil, and chopped onions to the pan. Stir all these ingredients for 60-seconds.
  • Add the chopped red yellow cherry tomatoes to the pan.
  • Now, as the ingredients cook, break the tomatoes using the spatula. Then, to maintain the acidic balance in terms of the sweetness in the relish, add sherry vinegar to the ingredients.
  • Allow the ingredients to cook and get stew until perfectly creamy and smooth by reducing the heat to low from the medium.
  • To finish off, add up the chopped basil leaves and finish the relish by stirring well.

Prepare mustard mayonnaise

  • In a small bowl, add three tablespoons of mayonnaise and add three teaspoons of wholegrain mustard at the same time.
  • Mix them well and prepare the mayonnaise.
  • At last, get done with your steak sandwich with perfect mustard mayonnaise.

Crisp the slices up

  • Preparing the ciabatta bread for cooking by slicing it in half. Season the ciabatta bread slices using pepper and drizzle some olive oil over the seasoned ciabatta bread slices.
  • Over medium heat, place the grill pan and place the bread slices to it.
  • When the ciabatta bread slices crip a little, remove the spices from the pan, and set them aside.

Assemble the sandwich

  • Now comes the time to assemble the sandwich. Place both the slices separately and spread mayo on both slices.
  • Then, place the lettuce leaves one by one on the slices.
  • Now, over one of the pieces, place the steak.
