Last year, my parents were out shopping, and I was alone at home the whole day. Then, in the evening, suddenly my mother called and asked me to prepare something for dinner. As we used to have dinner at 9 pm, I had no clue what to prepare within that short time. At that time, I knew a little about this recipe. But thanks to my friend who was there to help me out over the phone!

Yes, I was successful at preparing a creamy, mouth-watering, and rich dinner within an hour…

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless (4 pieces; about 1-1/4 pounds)
  • Beaten egg (1 piece)
  • Alfredo sauce (1 jar; about 1 pound or 10 ounces)
  • Garlic powder (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Paprika (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Finely chopped tomato (1 medium size tomato)
  • Mozzarella cheese, finely shredded (1/2 cup; about 2 ounces)
  • Cooked pasta, preferably hot (it’s optional. So, use it if you have a liking for it)
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (Optional just like cooked pasta)
  • Dry and Italian season bread crumbs (3/4 cup), or
  • Plain crumb (3/4 cup) + Italian seasoning (1/2 teaspoon)

Directions

  • To get started with the Alfredo MontAmore recipe, preheat your oven to 400-degree Fahrenheit.
  • Mix garlic powder along with bread crumbs and beaten eggs. Then dip the chicken breast halves in the mixture and dredge perfectly.
  • Take a 13×9-inch baking dish and arrange the chicken in it. Bake for 20-22 minutes.
  • Now, pour in one cup of Alfredo sauce in the chicken.
  • Top the chicken with cheese at first, then with the chopped tomato evenly.
  • Bake the chicken for 10-12 more minutes or more. By this time, the chicken should turn brown on edge, so thoroughly cooked. You can cut a piece of chicken with a knife and taste to be sure whether it is cooked or not.

How to serve

  • Heat the remaining Alfredo sauce on medium in your oven at first.
  • Then sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the chicken.
  • At last, top the chicken using the hot Alfredo sauce and serve immediately.

Note: You can place the chicken over a portion of hot cooked pasta and serve as directed above as an optional choice.

Tips and Tricks

Some people make a pasta mixture, and they stir the chicken in the pasta mixture late on. I have also tried the same once, but it has turned out to be a very unwise move on my part. If you do so, the dish loses its texture and original flavor and taste.

The bread crumb breading seems so delicate that if you stir the chicken in the pasta mixture, the breading is very likely to fall apart, resulting in the loss of taste and texture of the recipe.

So, the ideal way to utilize the pasta is, as I described already, to place the chicken over the pasta and serve by topping with hot Alfredo sauce and parmesan cheese.
