Slow Cooker Chuck Eye Steak Recipe

A few years back, I used to have a piano lesson, at 5.15, every Tuesday. So, I had very little time to prepare my dinner.   • Onion, cut in half and ½ inch thick slices (1 big onion)
  • Vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Packed brown sugar (1and ½ teaspoons)
  • Finely minced garlic (1 clove)
  • Dried thyme (¼ teaspoon)
  • Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
  • To taste, salt
  • To taste, pepper

Directions for cooking chuck eye steaks

  • Step 01: Take a large bowl, but no so large that won’t fit in your microwave. Put garlic, onion, sugar, oil, thyme, and mushrooms in the bowl and stir the ingredients to make sure a perfect combination rapidly. Mix until there is a smooth texture.
  • Step 02: Then, put the bowl in the microwave and keep it there for approximately 5-6 minutes to soften the mixture properly.
  • Step 03: Now, begins the Chuck eye steak recipe slow cooker process. Spray the slow cooker using any cooking spray, preferably non-stick.
  • Step 04: Place the previously made mixture on the cooker and put soy sauce and beef broth with the mixture. Then sprinkle a suitable amount of pepper and salt in the mixture. Then mix in the soy sauce and beef broth by stirring.
  • Step 05: Now, set the temperature at low and cook for 6-7 hours. Then jump up the temperature to high and cook for another 4-5 hours. By this time, the steak should get tender and ready to eat effortlessly.
  • Step 06: Remove the steak from the low cooker. Spoon of the extra fat, as there will be a lot of excess fat on the gravy.

Tips and Tricks

When you remove the steak from the low cooker, you can also remove the reaming liquid from the slow cooker and set it on a skillet. Add one teaspoon of soy sauce, bring to boiling and reduce the juice by half. Then the juicy/gravy will be thicker and

I have introduced a slight variation to this recipe myself. I have used mushrooms without skipping any other standard ingredients. So, if you skip mushrooms, you will get back to the original recipe served previously.

Some also use red wine in the mixture to bring a different texture. You can even use mashed potatoes as a part of this recipe.
