What are scrambled eggs?
This is a fast-to-prepare and easy-peasy dish produced using eggs, salt, and butter. It can also be prepared using other ingredients, e.g., spring onions, cayenne pepper, dark pepper, and many more to name.
To be more specific, it is nothing but a simple, fast and basic recipe that we can take as an early morning breakfast. You can cook it on the stovetop, microwave, and, of course, using an instant pot, as we do in this recipe.
Ingredients
- Eggs (4 pieces)
- Whole milk, preferably milk fresh (4 tablespoons)
- Butter (2 tablespoons)
- To taste, salt
Instructions
- Take a bowl and break the eggs. Sprinkle the salt as per your desire and add milk.
- Then, to mix the ingredients, whisk until the blend becomes light.
- Set your instant pot in the sauté function. Add the whole butter to the inner pot of the instant pot.
- After a few seconds, when the butter melts, add the previously prepared egg blend into the pot and stir. Then lift, scramble and fold to make sure there is no liquid left in the pot.
- Now, turn off the sauté function and remove the inner pot from the instant pot.
- Now you have finished cooking the instant pot scrambled eggs. So, serve immediately and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
- Don’t forget to remove the inner pot from the instant pot. The instant pot retains heat while cooking. So, if you leave the inner pot inside the instant pot, the cooking process will continue with the retained heat. This way, your scrambled eggs may get overcooked, and eventually wasted.
- If you forget or fail to turn off the instant pot in time, the eggs will get burn or dry out within the next minute.
- If you don’t like butter, you can skip it and use cooking spray or sunflower instead.
- The best practice is to serve instant pot scrambled eggs hot.
Tips and tricks for fluffy scrambled eggs
- You might use a nonstick pan while preparing the scrambled eggs. If you have one nonstick inner pot in place, make sure you use it over stainless steel.
- You must whisk the eggs properly to aerate the eggs for fluffy and light and tastier scrambled eggs.
- To make the scrambled eggs fluffier, you can even add 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of water per egg.
- Keep mixing and folding the eggs during the whole cooking time, or the eggs will stick to the pan.
