Simple Oreo Dirt Pudding Recipe Without Cream Cheese

Here is a fun fact, no one would ever think that a dessert with the word dirt in its name will be acceptable or good in any way. But in reality, Oreo dirt pudding is not only good, but it is one of the most fabulous desserts/snacks there ever was. Another fun fact is its being free from cream cheese! I understand that my words may not make any sense to you, that’s why you have to try the Oreo dirt pudding recipe without cream cheese.

I make this formula somewhat not the same as most. I admire the Oreo part most, and I don’t care for the gummy worms and cream cheddar by any means. I believe both these ingredients absolutely detract from the magnificence of this sweet. So, I add additional Oreos and skip the cream cheddar/cheese by and large.

This recipe requires a 15-minute preparation time, and another 15 minutes to finish it off. Sound easy-peasy, isn’t it? Yes, it is that pretty much simple and effortless to prepare!

Ingredients

  • Oreos (1 full package)
  • Cool whip (1 package; around 16 ounces)
  • Powdered sugar (1/2 cup)
  • Milk (3 cups)
  • Vanilla instant pudding (1 large box)

Directions

  • In a Ziploc bag and rolling pin, crush the whole package of Oreos finely.
  • Then, in a bowl, combine the milk and vanilla instant pudding mix. Add half of the cool whip in the bowl and combine until there is a smooth texture.
  • At this point, add the powdered sugar and combine in the same way. Take an 8×8 pan and line the bottom of it using Oreos.
  • Put a layer of cool whip mixture on top of the Oreos and spread evenly. Then put another layer (layering back and forth) until the mixture is finished.
  • Now spread out the rest of the cool whip on top of the Oreos evenly.
  • Take the remaining crushed Oreos out of the bottom of the Ziploc bag and spread the line of Oreos using it.

Let the Oreos cool down and serve in the way you like. Oreo dirt pudding recipe without cream cheese can be stored and enjoyed within the next 3-4 days (stored in an airtight container).

Recipe Notes

By the off chance that you want to taste cream cheese sometimes, you can just use 04 ounces of cream cheese without skipping any other ingredients. Then do as follows:

  • In your microwave, heat the cream cheese on medium for 1-1.5 minutes. Make sure the cheese is soft enough to be combined with cool whip smoothly.
  • When the cream cheese is soft enough, whip it in a bowl to make it smooth.
  • Then add the cool whip to the bowl and keep whipping until finely combined.
  • Then do as directed from step 05 in the main recipe.

Tips and Tricks

As there is no cream cheese in this recipe, you can add an extra layer of the cool whip before serving this dish. But apply this extra layer of the cool whip when the Oreos are fully chilled.

Some people even top the dish using a vanilla mixture before serving. If you do so, I recommend reducing the amount of milk to 2.5 cups.

If you want to cut the sweetness a bit, you can reduce the sugar to half.
